"UPDATE 10/22/2024 5 stars again! Amazing service and professionalism! This is an update on Darrell Tucker‘s State Farm agency. My wife and I recently returned from a several week road trip where our HONDA was hit in a parking lot, backed into and no one left a note, damaged the rear bumper as well pushing it onto a curb and damaging the front bumper, It was in the small town so of course no one saw anything so as soon as I returned home, I reported the claim. I have not had a vehicle claim in over 25 years and have just heard all the horror stories on social media about how insurance companies do not handle claims promptly,so I was not sure what to expect. To my amazement, the claim was handled at lightning speed, I called Darrell’s agency I was directed to the claim department where someone actually answered the phone, gave me a claim number and before I could call the Honda auto body shop, the claim agent had called and given authorization for repairs. I have rental car coverage so they offered me a rental car which I declined as I’m close enough to walk from the body shop and can live without the car for several days. In the meantime, another State Farm representative called to confirm what happened and to make sure that my claim was being handled properly and then in addition, Darrell Tucker himself sent me an email to make sure that everything was being handled promptly and properly, thoroughly impressed by this quality insurance service, helps me understand why I have been a State Farm client for over 45 years now! PREVIOUSLY POSTED My wife and I have just recently moved to Greenbelt Maryland. A move is always somewhat difficult, especially changing all of your vehicle information to a new state. I contacted several insurance companies to get quotes and information for our car and home. I contacted Darrell Tucker’s State Farm agency and communicated with Ashley. She was so professional, so helpful, not just with the insurance, but all the information we needed, all the ins and outs on getting our car and home set up in Maryland. Ashley is very knowledgeable about the insurance needs we have, the pricing between a couple agencies were very close, but dealing with Ashley made all the difference, a real People person who answers the phone, it made all the difference in the world to us, thank you so much, and we look forward to years of business with your firm."

"Mr. Tucker just called me regarding a claim for my home in North Carolina (not sure why he was even involved) when he's not even my agent. Anyhow, he was very abrupt and when I attempted to question why the claim was denied with the knowledge I already had about the roof, he was short, rude and talked down to me. I attempted to provide him information I had been given by several inspectors and he continued to interrupt and not let me speak to the extent I had to hang up on him. I sincerely wonder if he had spoken to my husband, if this same manner of speaking would have been used. Either way, absolutely cancelling our coverage with State Farm due to Mr. Tucker's mannerisms. Our local agent here in NC was very professional, however it should be known that the reason 2 houses, 4 cars and other insured items will now be covered by another agency is due to the lack of communication skills exhibited by Mr. Tucker."
